Client App Installation
Desktop App only
This section covers the installation of the DPD Label Print desktop application for Windows. For the browser-based Online Label Print, no installation is required — just log in at your DPD-provided URL.
Before you begin
Verify your system meets the requirements:
- Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016+
- 5 GB free disk space
- Administrative rights on the machine
No Java installation is needed — the installer bundles a custom JRE.
Installation steps
- Download the installer (
DPD-Label Print-Client-{version}-Setup.exe) from the link provided by your DPD account manager - Run the installer — right-click → Run as administrator if prompted
- Follow the setup wizard:
- Accept the license agreement
- Choose the installation directory (default:
C:\Program Files\DPD Label Print) - Select whether to create a desktop shortcut
- Click Install and wait for completion
- Click Finish — the application starts automatically on first run
First launch
On the first launch, the DPD Label Print launcher window appears:
- A splash screen is shown while the application starts
- The backend service starts in the background (a local server on port 8088)
- Your default browser opens automatically at
http://localhost:8088 - Log in with the credentials provided by your DPD account manager
astuce
The application runs entirely on your local machine. The browser is just the interface — no data is sent through your browser to external servers (only directly from the backend to DPD).
Silent / enterprise installation
For managed deployments (SCCM, Group Policy, etc.), the installer supports silent mode:
DPD-Label Print-Client-{version}-Setup.exe /S
Uninstallation
Go to Windows Settings → Apps → DPD Label Print → Uninstall.
Or run:
"C:\Program Files\DPD Label Print\uninstall.exe"
