Updates

Desktop App only

The automatic update mechanism is only available in the DPD Label Print desktop application.

DPD Label Print includes a built-in updater that keeps the application up to date automatically.

Automatic updates​

The application checks for updates on its own. When a new version is available, a New version available button appears at the bottom of the navigation menu, showing the new version number.

Click it to download and install the update. No uninstall or reinstall is needed.

Only administrators see this button. If you are signed in as a User and expect an update, ask an administrator to apply it.

Version history​

The installed version is shown in Settings → Version information → Application version.

The version number follows the format MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH (for example 4.2.1).

Rollback​

If an update causes issues:

  1. Go to Windows Settings → Apps → DPD Label Print Client → Uninstall
  2. Install the previous version from the installer provided by your DPD account manager
  3. Contact DPD support and report the issue

Your data (shipment history, settings) is preserved during uninstall/reinstall as it is stored in the database separately.
