File Imports
The File imports tab is where you upload CSV or XML files and track their import into your shipments or address book, using one of your import profiles.
Need the exact file format? See CSV File Import or XML File Import.
The file imports list

Each row lists one imported file:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| File name | The name of the imported file. Shows an Edited tooltip if the file has been edited. |
| Profile name | The import profile used for the file. |
| Import date | The date the file was imported. |
| (no header) | A coloured dot showing the current import state, with a tooltip — see below. |
Filter the list by file name or profile name, state (Successful / Processing / Partially imported / Failed, or All states to clear the filter), date range (Today / This week / This month, or All import dates to clear the range), and pickup address — pickup address is required.
Import states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Successful | The file was imported without errors. |
| Processing | The import is running. |
| Partially imported | Some records failed and are listed with their error, while the rest were imported. |
| Failed | The import could not be completed. |
Importing a file
Press Import file in the top-right corner to open the import dialog.

Choose the file to upload, the pickup address, the profile to use for the import, and the import encoding, plus an optional service.
The file dialog follows the profile you select: a CSV profile accepts .csv and .txt — a CSV file may carry a .txt extension — and an XML profile accepts .xml.
Once the import starts, the list polls automatically every 30 seconds, up to 9 times (4.5 minutes in total), so you see the state change without reloading the page. You can also press Refresh to check immediately.

File details
Click a row to open its details drawer:
- A date section
- File details
- A list of errors for records that failed to import, each with its error code — shown only if any records failed
- For a file a data source picked up (desktop app only): the import directory plus the archive, error and error-log paths
From the drawer you can Edit or Delete the file.
Editing and deleting
You can select several files at once and delete them together — the confirmation message differs depending on whether you deleted a single file or several.
Editing and deleting a file require administrator rights.
Format-specific guides
The File imports tab handles both CSV and XML files. For the profile settings and file requirements specific to each format, see:
